🦀 Crab Man — free maze chase game

Crab Man is our love letter to Pac-Man— Toru Iwatani's 1980 masterpiece for Namco, the best-selling arcade game ever made and the reason "maze chase" is a genre at all. What made it legendary wasn't the maze — it was the ghosts. Each of the four had a distinct personality: one chased you directly, one ambushed ahead of you, one flanked, and one wandered off when it got too close. Crab Man rebuilds those exact behaviors — the scatter-and-chase waves, the mid-corridor reversals, even the famous targeting quirks — and hands the roles to four very hungry seabirds.

Steer with the arrow keys or WASD(swipe on phones). Turns buffer — press a direction just before a junction and the crab whips around the corner with the classic speed-cut. Coins are 10 points, power coins 50, and each bird eaten during a power coin doubles the chain: 200, 400, 800, 1600. The money stack appears twice per level under the birds' nest and climbs in value every level — from $100 all the way to $5,000. Lose all three lives and the run banks to the leaderboard; the birds get faster, the frights get shorter, and the mazes rotate as you climb.

Red hunts you directly and gets faster as coins run out. Pink aims four tiles ahead of your claws — watch it cut you off. Cyan flanks using Red's position, and Orangecharges from afar but loses its nerve up close. The tunnel is your escape hatch: birds slow to a crawl in there, you don't.
