Play your real plugins in ClipCraft
The ClipCraft Bridge connects SoundCraft (our audio editor) to the VST3 instruments installed on your computer — Omnisphere, Massive X, Kontakt, Addictive Keys and more. Draw notes in the browser; hear your own synths.

Install & leave it running
Run the installer — the bridge sits quietly in your system tray and starts with Windows. No setup, no account.
It finds your plugins
On first launch it scans the standard VST3 folder and lists every instrument you own. Hit rescan any time you install something new.
Play them in the editor
Open SoundCraft → ☰ rack → Plugins. Your instruments appear with a green “Bridge connected” badge — click one and it becomes a channel, just like the built-in instruments.
What the bridge unlocks
- 🎹 Plugin instrument channels — your synths sit next to ClipCraft's Sampler, Drum Kit and Piano
- 🎛 The plugin's real window — browse Omnisphere's library on your desktop, audibly
- 💾 Presets saved in your project — reopen a song and it sounds exactly the same
- 🎧 Renders in your exports — WAV/MP3 mixdowns and posted tracks include your plugins
- 🎼 MIDI keyboard passthrough — arm the channel and play your hardware through the plugin
- 🆓 Free for a limited time — early access, every plan, no limits
Questions
How does it work?
Your MIDI notes are rendered offline through the real plugin on your computer, sample-accurate, and the audio plays inside the editor through the channel's effects, fader and pan. Open the plugin's own window any time to change presets — ClipCraft re-renders automatically when you close it.
Is it safe?
The bridge only listens on your own computer (127.0.0.1) and only accepts connections from clipcraft.ai. Nothing is uploaded anywhere — your plugins, samples and licenses stay on your machine. The plugin's preset state is saved inside your ClipCraft project so your song sounds identical when you reopen it.
Which plugins are supported?
VST3 instruments — Omnisphere, Massive X, Kontakt, Addictive Keys, Serum and virtually every modern synth or sampler. Effect plugins (like Auto-Tune) and CLAP support are on the roadmap.
Windows says the publisher is unknown
The installer isn't code-signed yet (a Microsoft Store version is planned). If SmartScreen appears, click “More info” → “Run anyway”. The bridge is free and contains no ads, accounts or telemetry.
